It was an atmosphere filled with pomp and pageantry in Akure, the State capital as Director, Inland Waterways, in the Ministry of Transport, Engr. Dr. Pius Omoge bows out of service.
The epoch making event which was held at the Ministry of works and infrastructure hall on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 was graced by important dignitaries among the likes is the Special Adviser to Governor Akeredolu on Transport Tobi Ogunleye Esq, Former commissioner in the Ministry of Transport, Otunba Omoniyi Omodara and Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mr Olufemi Aladenola and host of others
The Special Adviser to Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) (CON) On Transport, Tobi Ogunleye Esq while speaking at the event, described Engr.Dr. Pius Omoge as an hardworking man, energetic, brilliant and intelligent Officer, and he advised those still in the civil service to emulate him.
Also, The Chairman of the Occasion, Otunba Omoniyi Omodara who was once a Commissioner in the Ministry of Transport congratulated the celebrant, saying his bowing out of service is worthy of celebration
In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Olufemi Aladenola described the celebrant as someone who is bold and courageous. He appreciated God for making the celebrant to witness the day.
In his reactions, The celebrant, Engr. Dr.Pius Omoge who was overwhelmed with joy, said the journey from time immemorial has not been easy but God's grace which is sufficient for him has elevated him despite all odds.
He however thanked everyone for gracing the occasion
Newsline NG however gathered that the celebrant, Engr. Dr. Pius Omoge who was born into the Royal family of Omoge of Igbodigbo Kingdom joined the Ministry of transport as a Director, Inland waterways in 2008 and was happily married to his beautiful wife and blessed with wonderful children
