The National Youth Service Corps, Oyo State has shone a spotlight on her State Coordinator, Comrade Odoba Abel Oche amid encomiums and accolades describing him as a game changer while celebrating his birthday in his Office at the NYSC Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan.
The NYSC Oyo Coordinator who marked his birthday on the 3rd of January 2023 while away for the festivities and also after the new year holidays embarked on other Official assignments was welcomed to his Office with a surprise big birthday bash jointly organised by his Members of Staff.
Eulogizing the amiable State Coordinator, Chairperson,Organizing Committee, Assistant Director, Deployment and Relocation, Mrs. Omaji Margaret who described the Celebrant, Comrade Odoba as a man of impeccable character, a builder of men, noted that the entire NYSC Oyo Staff found him worthy to be celebrated in a special way. She stressed that his exemplary Leadership style has endeared all the members of Staff to him.
Omaji narrated the efforts and contributions put up by the entire Staff and even Corps Members serving in the State to ensure that the SC is celebrated as a way of reciprocating and showing appreciation for his good gestures and qualitative leadership in the State.
In her remark, Assistant Director, Corps Inspection and Monitoring, Mrs. Olusesi Olabimpe said his invaluable contributions are moving the Scheme forward in the state. She also added that the SC is a man who always go extra mile with focus and determination.
The Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations Unit, Mrs. Olatoye Christy described the Celebrant as a highly optimistic person in every situation and a front runner who believes in possibilities.She distinguished him as humility personified who shows love to everyone irrespective of who they are.
She equally added that the NYSC Oyo helmsman loves seeing his people happy and has impacted greatly on the Scheme in the State especially through an open door policy which is a deviation from the past.She equally lauded his accessibility to all his Staff and corps members.
Likewise, other Assistant Directors and Members of Staff took turns to shower encomiums on the person of Odoba Abel Oche, fondly called "Odoba 'D' Great"
In his response,the State Coordinator, Odoba Abel Oche appreciated all the members of Staff for their show of love towards him. The elated SC confessed that he never expected such gesture from his members of Staff, while praying for more blessings upon them and tasking them to continue to serve creditably at their various line of duties.
Publicity Crew observed that The 21st State Coordinator of the NYSC Oyo is no doubt a man of the people who is gradually changing the narrative of NYSC Oyo.
Highlight of the birthday celebration was the cutting of cake and presentation of gifts to the Celebrant, Mr. Odoba Abel Oche.
