Be Confident Against Rivers Angels, Sunshine Queens Head Coach, Abimbola Charges Team

 



Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure have been urged to have confidence and believe in themselves as they play host to Rivers Angels in the Matchday 12 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL). 

Sunshine Queens had lost 3-0 to Rivers Angels at the Adokie Amesiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt in the match day four of the women league.  

He added that his side is tactically sound and ready to deliver.

Oladimeji said: "Akure stadium has now become a fortress for us, after losing 1-0 to Edo Queens in the first round of the league, we have not lost any game in our home ground and we are not going  to lose any game here again." 

The head coach of the team, Oladimeji Abimbola stated this in a chat with team's media in Akure, the state capital ahead of the must-win game for the side.

He disclosed that his side has changed their approach to games, saying the new approach is working perfectly for his team. 

According to him, football is not about name, but about doing the right thing at the right time. 

"I believe and trust my players because they will deliver and make our fans happy securing the maximum points. 

Meanwhile, one of the Sunshine Queens players, Taiwo Ajibade was named in the NWFL matchday 10 team of the week .

While speaking, Ajibade thanked God, teammates and commended her coaches for the feat, saying it was team work that led to her inclusion in the team of the week. 

"Together we shall continue to win as a team," she said.
