The NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple has admonished Prospective Corps Members not to derail or thwart the plans of God for their lives.
The State Coordinator, while charging members of the service corps to allow their service to the society and the nation at large reflect the will of God, advised them not to thread the path of Jonah which almost caused him his life if not for the grace and mercy of the Almighty God.
Pepple, gave these words on marble when he addressed prospective corps members separately at the Nigerian Christians Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) and National Association of Catholic Corpers (NACC) Worship Centres.
"God in His infinite mercies had designed your life and how everything about you would be because He made this known in Jeremiah chapter 1 v 5A declaring, 'before I formed you in the womb, l knew you ', but many want to be smarter than God. Hear it today, no mortal can be wiser or smarter than our God".
The NYSC Ondo State boss enjoined them to fear the Lord and depart from all iniquities right from the camp and throughout the service year, advising them to trust in God and obey the authority.
He said that they should not lean on their own understanding but seek information and pleaded with them not to get into trouble by feeling that they know too much.
The NYSC Ondo State team leader said that NYSC has brought them together from all walks of life to mentor and expose them to leadership and sharpen their skills.
"We see you as our children and we abhor ethnicity and religiosity in this place. Tolerate your differences as you are all made of different chemical compounds and ideologies. We have called you here to see, study and understand the many similarities we have as a nation, and to see our composition as one great nation. You will discover your innate qualities you never knew existed" he assured.
He warned them against lobbying for posting or paying any money to anyone under the guise of influencing relocation and or posting, declaring that posting is done strictly on the felt need of the State while the Headquarters handles the final relocation process.
The 14th male Chief Executive Officer in Ondo, the Sunshine State reminded them that the Camp is regimented and that they should continue to look out for well-being and security of one another.
The Coordinator prayed for his children, saying that the land of the Sunshine State would favour them in all ramifications.
CO-ORDINATOR APPEALS TO CAMP MARKET OPERATORS TO OBEY ALL CAMP RULES
The 21st Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ondo State, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple has appealed to camp market operators to obey all camp rules as they go about their lawful businesses.
The State Coordinator made the appeal when he met with the camp market operators at the Multipurpose Hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko.
Pepple, who disclosed that he had received the reports of some irresponsible acts being perpetrated by unscrupulous elements, saying that NYSC in conjunction with security and uniform agencies have put in place structures to flush out the bad eggs.
The NYSC Ondo State helmsman frowned at the marketers hawking their goods within the camp environment and around the hostels, saying those who are found culpable henceforth will face the consequences of their actions.
The State Coordinator who drove his points home by switching to pidgin English insisted that aprons must be worn at all times while those with children should keep them at home as the camp is not conducive to keep underaged children.
The NYSC Ondo State boss expressed his displeasure at camp marketers who are reneging on agreement made on price control and regulation, and noted that they are giving wrong impression and perception to the prospective Corps Members.
The administrator who took time to explain policy issues to the marketers lashed at some of them who threw caution to the winds and engaged in irresponsible act of harbouring corps members at their stalls or shops at odd hours.
He hinted that the management has concluded arrangement to relocate the camp market to more spacious and secured environment, but allayed their fears that it would come in the nearest future and not immediate.
The Camp Director, Mr. Jonathan Kolawole and the Camp Commandant, Captain Oluwasijibomi Okubadejo harped on discipline respectively and declared that the management will not allow untoward behaviour from anyone no matter the status of such individual.
