RUGIPO: Orientation, Matriculation for new students holds Tommorow

A two-day orientation programme for new students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) will hold on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of April, 2025 at the institution’s 800-seater Auditorium by 10.00 a.m.

The event will feature a series of lectures aimed at introducing ND 1 and HND 1 students to the Polytechnic’s policies, academic expectations and student support services.

Meanwhile, the matriculation ceremony, which marks the formal induction of new students into the Polytechnic community, will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the 800-seater Auditorium by 10.00 a.m.

According to the Polytechnic's Management, attendance at both the orientation and matriculation ceremonies is mandatory for all newly admitted students. Participants are advised to arrive early and be seated at the venue by 9:30 a.m. on each day.

To ensure a seamless and glamorous ceremony, the Management of the institution has declared lecture-free for ND 1 and HND 1 students for the two days, while the Matriculation day is also a lecture-free day for all students to pave way for all and sundry to attend and partake actively in the Ceremony. The Management has also directed all matriculating students to collect their academic gowns from their Faculty Officers on Thursday, 3rd April 2025, and to be fully robed and seated by 9:30 a.m. on the matriculation day.

Management congratulated the new students and their families and encouraged them to participate actively in all the events.
