The Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has congratulated Mr Idowu Ajanaku on his appointment and inauguration as the new Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the State.
A congratulatory message jointly signed by the State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, and the State Secretary, Com. Olaoluwa Meshack, expressed confidence in the ability of Mr Idowu Ajanaku as a core senior journalist to harness the media potentials in the state and beyond for the benefit of the people and growth of the state.
The statement expresses the readiness of the NUJ leadership and members of the media profession in the state to support and work seamlessly with the new Commissioner for a smooth running of government's activities in an informed society.
Ondo NUJ described the appointment of Mr Idowu Ajanaku to lead the Ministry of Information and Orientation, as a round peg in a round hole, and urged the new Commissioner to form a formidable relationship with members of the pen profession in the state for a better service delivery.
This, it said would forster a harmonious relationship between government and the media, and ensure that the people of the state are well informed of government programmes and policies.
