Ondo State government says it has deployed technology to accurately track and manage the number of students and teachers in both public and private schools
The government said the effort would also help track students’ progression per session.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Akure.
Ajibefun said that the state government had plans to ensure discipline returns to schools, raising the standard and quality of education, and dealing with other related issues.
The commissioner said that the ministry had started issuing Identity Cards to students in public schools and would do the same for pupils in private schools.
