Recently recruited teachers in Ondo State have taken to the streets to protest their exclusion from an ongoing capturing exercise conducted by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), calling on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to urgently intervene immediately.
The teachers, who claim to have been employed through legitimate channels, stormed the Governor's office in Akure to demand inclusion in the exercise.
They allege that their exclusion is due to accusations of backdoor employment and fake appointment letters issued by SUBEB and the Teachers' Service Commission (TESCOM).
According to an eyewitness, the affected teachers are protesting because of "backdoor appointment letters issued to them by unscrupulous directors of the personnel at SUBEB and TESCOM offices".
