In a heartwarming display of kindness, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, visited Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, to support a determined student with a physical challenge.
Omolara Enikanoselu, a student in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, was the recipient of the generous gesture.
Newsline NG learnt that Adeniyan presented Omolara with a new wheelchair, phone, powerbank, and an offer to cover her tuition for the next academic session.
Adeniyan, on his Official Facebook page sighted by our correspondent, noted that the gesture will go a long way in supporting Omolara's academic pursuits and improving her overall experience.
The event, was well-attended by Omolara's classmates, Deans of faculties, and Lecturers, as they expressed joy with the CPS's move.
According to her classmates, "This visit not only brought joy to Omolara but also served as a morale boost to her peers."
Dr. Sunday Afolayan, who shed light on Omolara's story, expressed gratitude to Adeniyan for their kindness.
"It's heartwarming to see individuals like you taking an interest in the welfare of students with disabilities," he said.
"This gesture has brought joy and hope to Omolara and her peers, and serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and empathy in our society.
"The student's determination to succeed despite her physical challenge is an inspiration to many, and Adeniyan's gesture will undoubtedly motivate her to continue striving for excellence.
"The entire Rufus Giwa Polytechnic community appreciates Adeniyan's kindness and hopes that his gesture will inspire others to follow suit.
"By supporting Omolara, Adeniyan has not only improved her academic prospects but also boosted her confidence and morale. He said.
