Cleric urges Youths to succeed despite challenges

Pastor Isaac Atukpor of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Destiny Clinic, Youth Church, Akure has challenged Christians to reject the limitations of their past.

In his sermon titled “Rising Above Unprofitable Background rooted in the compelling narrative of Judges 11:1-10, resonated deeply with the congregation, laying out a clear blueprint for destiny recovery and achievement.

According to him, "The scriptural bedrock for the day was the story of Jephthah, a man ostracized and rejected by his family due to his background, yet who eventually rose to become a deliverer and leader in Israel

"This biblical example served as a potent assurance that every individual possesses the potential to transcend difficult beginnings and fulfil a noble purpose, regardless of familial or socio-economic history.

Pastor Atukpor emphasized that Jephthah’s eventual elevation was not accidental, but the result of intentional choices made outside of his immediate, challenging circumstances

"The first critical to rise above your foundation are the twin principles of “Never Quit” and the unwavering commitment to “Must determine to succeed” form the bedrock of rising above limitations.

He stressed that success is not merely desired but determined, requiring a bulldog tenacity that refuses to accept failure as a final verdict, especially when faced with early setbacks or societal resistance.

"Beyond sheer willpower, this sermon highlighted the importance of concrete preparation, focusing on the need to “Build capacity” and “Distinguish yourself with excellence.”

"A key strategy for becoming indispensable in any environment, the pastor noted, is the principle of being a “Be a problem solver.” He explained that people who are masters at identifying and resolving genuine challenges are rarely ever overlooked or kept down.

“Be a prayer addict,” recognizing that divine power and spiritual connection are the engines that fuel determination and excellence.

Furthermore, he insisted that capacity-building must be guided by destiny, urging everyone to “Seek and pursue God’s plan for your life,” ensuring that all efforts are aligned with a purpose higher than personal ambition.

Pastor Atukpor however advised the youth to continually invest in their skills and knowledge, making themselves highly valuable in their chosen fields.
