An Aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Oluwaseun Albert, popularly known as Seun SOT, has extended warm greetings to Muslims and Christians in Odigbo Constituency 1 as the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent commence.
The aspirant described the simultaneous observance of the two sacred periods as a rare moment of spiritual reflection and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence across religious lines.
Addressing residents of Odigbo Constituency 1, Albert emphasized the importance of unity, urging the people to use the solemn seasons to pray for lasting peace, progress, and development within the constituency and beyond.
He noted that Ramadan represents a time of fasting, sacrifice, and devotion for Muslims, while Lent symbolizes a period of prayer, self-denial, and repentance for Christians.
According to him, both observances share common values that promote love, tolerance, and compassion.
“May this season bring peace, joy, and unity to every home,” he stated, adding that spiritual reflection should inspire citizens to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and foster harmonious relationships irrespective of religious or political differences.
Albert further called on religious leaders across mosques and churches in the constituency to continue preaching messages that encourage mutual respect and collective responsibility in building a stronger society.
He also urged youths to remain law-abiding and embrace the virtues of discipline and service to humanity, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and understanding.
Albert reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation and grassroots engagement, promising to prioritize policies that will uplift families and create opportunities for all segments of the constituency if given the mandate to serve.
