Christians have been urged to remain spiritually vigilant and steadfast in their faith as the world approaches what the Bible describes as the “last days.”
Delivering the Sunday sermon, Pastor Adeolu Folarin of the Redeemed and Restoration Altar of God Church, Ore branch, spoke on the topic “Dangers in the Last Days,” drawing his message from the Bible text 2 Timothy 3:1, which warns that perilous times will come in the last days.
Pastor Folarin explained that the scripture clearly foretells a period marked by moral decay, increasing wickedness and a departure from godly values, noting that many of the signs described in the Bible are already manifesting in society today.
He stressed that believers must be conscious of the spiritual dangers around them, adding that the increasing rate of crime, dishonesty, hatred, and disobedience to God’s word are indicators that the world is gradually moving towards the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.
The cleric urged Christians not to allow themselves to be carried away by worldly influences, warning that many people may appear religious outwardly but lack genuine commitment to God.
According to him, the last days will test the faith of many believers, making it important for Christians to remain committed to prayer, holiness, and obedience to the teachings of the Bible.
Pastor Folarin further encouraged church members to hold firmly to the truth of the gospel and avoid false teachings that could mislead them during these challenging times.
He also advised parents to guide their children with strong Christian values, noting that proper upbringing and consistent teaching of God’s word are necessary to help the younger generation stand firm amid moral challenges.
The sermon concluded with prayers for divine guidance and strength for believers to overcome the dangers of the last days while remaining faithful to God until the end.
