Ondo Tantita Coordinator, Asonja Celebrates NASS Backing, Praises Tantita’s Impact in Niger Delta

The Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Senior High Chief Idowu Asonja, has lauded the National Assembly for its strong endorsement of the company’s performance in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil infrastructure, describing the commendation as a testament to effective service delivery and commitment to national interest.

The praise follows a decisive move by the National Assembly of Nigeria, where joint committees of the Senate and House of Representatives on Petroleum Resources passed a vote of absolute confidence in Tantita Security during a high-level parliamentary roundtable in Abuja.

The session focused on the state of pipeline security and the ongoing battle against crude oil theft in the Niger Delta.

The roundtable convened key stakeholders across the oil and gas sector, including officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), lawmakers, industry experts, and security chiefs.

Discussions centered on evaluating current strategies to curb oil theft and ensure the protection of critical national assets.

Reacting to the development, Senior High Chief Asonja described the vote of confidence as “well-deserved and encouraging,” noting that it reflects the tangible impact of Tantita’s operations in reducing pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering activities.

He emphasized that the recognition would further motivate field operatives and reinforce the company’s commitment to maintaining security across oil-producing regions.

According to him, the collaborative approach between security agencies, host communities, and private firms like Tantita has begun yielding measurable results, contributing to improved crude oil production and national revenue.

He reposed confidence in the ability and leadership of his boss, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizidei Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo, the Chairman, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, stressing that the Tantita Security Company shall continue to seek sustainable solutions to long-standing challenges in the Niger Delta region of the country.
