Tragedy: Man Allegedly Kills Siblings in Ondo



The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended a 28-year-old man, Femi Agbeye, over the alleged killing of his three siblings in a tragic incident that has thrown the Okitipupa community into mourning

The unfortunate reportedly occurred on April 7, 2026, at New Site, along Doctors Road in Okitipupa, while the victims’ father was said to be away from home.

According to police sources, the suspect allegedly attacked his siblings, Bose Agbeye (20), Dupe Agbeye (7), and Blessing Agbeye (5) with a machete, resulting in their untimely deaths.

The father of the victims, Mr. Agbeye, was said to have raised the alarm at a nearby police station after discovering the horrifying scene.

Police operatives swiftly responded and arrived at the location, where they found the victims lying lifeless in what authorities described as a gruesome situation.

The remains of the deceased were later evacuated to the State Specialist Hospital morgue in Okitipupa for preservation and autopsy.

The Police Command confirmed that the suspect was arrested the same day in a coordinated operation.

Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State strongly condemned the killings, describing the act as barbaric and unacceptable, while assuring the public that justice will be served.

The police further stated that the suspect will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.

Meanwhile, residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing relevant information that could assist ongoing investigations, as the command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
