Every administration with a strong record of transformation, economic growth, infrastructural development, and progress deserves another term to implement additional policies.
This was the assertion of Thalis Olonite Apalowo, Director General of the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu, during Day 2 of the local government tour across Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Areas.
The tour train arrived in Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo with the aim of creating awareness and sensitizing youths across the state on the impact of the economic policies of Bola Tinubu, as well as the importance of his re-election.
The event brought together political, traditional, and religious leaders, youths, and other dignitaries from various walks of life. It also served as a platform to promote inclusiveness and bring government closer to the grassroots.
In his remarks, Thalis Olonite Apalowo welcomed party leaders and members, commending their commitment to the party and the group. He emphasized that the interest of the party supersedes personal ambition and urged members, particularly youths across the state, to return to their wards and units to work diligently for the re-election of President Tinubu.
“I must commend the dedication of every party member who has continued to place our great party at the center of advocacy and leadership across local governments, wards, and units in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election,” he said.
Speaking on the President’s economic policies, Apalowo highlighted areas of growth and development, citing the Akure–Ore road project as an example of infrastructural progress.
“If not for misinformation and propaganda, the Akure–Ore road is one of the numerous infrastructural projects delivered under President Bola Tinubu. People of goodwill should recognize and commend these efforts. Beyond infrastructure, there have been several appointments and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens. These and many more achievements are sufficient reasons to support the President’s agenda,” he added.
While appreciating the support of Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, Apalowo noted that the group is youth-focused. He stressed the importance of building a strong and coordinated structure across all 18 local government areas, with a target of mobilizing no fewer than one million votes.
“As I officially inaugurate the structures of the group, I urge every coordinator to maintain a proper database of members to ensure accuracy and accountability in our operations,” he said.
On youth development, the Director General identified employment, empowerment, and training as key priority areas to expand job opportunities and improve living standards across the state.
In separate interviews, the Coordinator of Odigbo Local Government, Comrade Olusola Johnbosco; former Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Mr. Felix Olatunde; and the Coordinator of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Mr. Moritala Owolabi, commended the initiative, describing it as a thoughtful step toward youth empowerment.
They also expressed confidence that the goal of mobilizing one million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 general election would be achieved.
As the 2027 general election approaches, the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu reaffirmed its commitment to sustained grassroots mobilization, pledging not to relent until its mandate is fully realized
