Fresh FM Storms Ilorin, Begins Full Commercial Broadcasting

 Fresh 107.9FM has officially commenced full commercial broadcasting in Ilorin, Kwara State, marking a significant milestone in the station's journey.

The Chief Executive Officer, Dr Yinka Ayefele made this known in a happy New Month post on his official Facebook page sighted by Newsline NG 

The commencement of full commercial operations signals a new chapter for the radio station as it begins delivering quality programming, news, current affairs, entertainment, sports, and informative content to listeners across Kwara State and beyond.

The milestone has been described as a testament to dedication, perseverance, and God's faithfulness. Management and staff expressed gratitude to God, partners, and supporters whose contributions made the achievement possible.

With full commercial broadcasting now underway, Fresh 107.9FM is set to strengthen its presence in the state's media landscape while providing listeners with credible, engaging, and community-focused programming.

It is a new beginning. Thank you, Lord. It can only be God," the station stated as it celebrated the landmark achievement.

Court Strikes out Oniju of Iju-Odo Chieftaincy Declaration

A High court sitting in Okitipupa has nullified the Oniju of Iju-Odo Chieftaincy declaration, holding that the State Government had no power to create a new chieftaincy without the consent of the Rebuja of Osooro land, the prescribed authority over chieftaincy matters in the communities within Osooro land, including Iju-Odo Community. The court declared that the Rebuja of Osooro land is the prescribed authority over chieftaincy matters in Osooro land and that the State Government has no power to create a new chieftaincy without following due process.  In a judgement made available to our correspondent, the court also held that the appointment of the 6th defendant as the Oniju of Iju-Odo was null and void, as it was not done in accordance with the custom and tradition of Iju-Odo.
