The Akogbe of Ajue town, Odigbo local government area of Ondo State, Oba Bamidele Akinwe, has reiterated his readiness to continue in making the community a center of attraction for private investors.
The monarch said he will continue use his verse experience both locally and international to woo more private investors to come and establish businesses in the community.
Oba Akinwe promised that he will continue to create more conducive environments in the town for more private companies to strive and thereby create more employment opportunities for youths and residents of the town.
The revered monarch spoke at the weekend in his palace during the celebration of the annual "Odun Oba" festival held in the community, reiterated the readiness of his subjects to partner with both locally and international private business owners in the areas of road network, education, youths development, employment opportunities, economic growth as well as agricultural development.
The traditional ruler who also explained that he was working seriously on collaboration with some indegenes of the community in attracting investors to grow the economy and create jobs for the citizens, especially members of the youths in the town.
The royal father while solicited for the support of the government and public spirited individuals in the areas of infrastructure and industrial development which he said would aid investment and make the ancient community an industrial hurb among other towns in the local government.
The monarch disclosed that he is also currently planning to provide various plans and policy framework and incentives to encourage small scale business in the town as a way of tackling what he called unemployment among the youths of the town.
Oba Akinwe used the period of the celebration to called on the indegenes of the town including those in the diaspora to join hands with him in developing the community and ensure the success and actualisation of his vision for the community.
Speaking on the significance of the annual festival, Oba Akinwe said it is an avenue for indegenes to come together and pray for the well-being of the town, the royal family and other indegenes of the town.
In his remarks during the celebration, a former Chairman of Odingb local government, Engr Raphael Ademulegun, described the celebration as one of the avenue to felicitate with the monarch and delebrates on other important issues relating to the development of the town.
Ademulegun while congratulating Oba Akinwe as well as the royal family in the town, urged the indegenes to continue in supporting the monarch in transforming the town and ensure the actualisation of his vision for the community.
Highlight of the carnival-like festival was the paying of homage and presentation of gifts by chiefs, clubs and associations to the monarch amidst dancing and share.
Other groups who also paid homage to the monarch during the celebration are members of the youths in the town, women chiefs, villages heads and leaders of various settlements, members of the royal family, traditional practitioners, artisan within the territory of the community among others.
Among the eminient personalities that graces the ceremony are, member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Odingbo constituency I, Hon Tunde Fabiyi, Oba Isaac Oyebade, the Yangede of Epe, Ondo East local government, Pere Tubotoru of Ebijaw in Odigbo local government, chiefs from various communities among others.
Other personalities who also attend the annual ceremony are, representatives of Hon. Festus Adefiranye, member representing Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo federal constituency, House of Representative candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 election, Engr Femi Olafunmiloye, a legal luminary and former legal Adviser for the All Progressive Congress (APC) who is also an indegene of the town, Bar Desmond Adejumoke
Others who also attended the ceremony, are Mrs Margaret Akinsuroju, a two-term Commissioner in Ondo State, Chairman Irepodun Local Council Development Area, Mr Gbenro Akintolayo, Special Adviser to Odingbo local government Chairman on Security, Hon Johnson Akinnusi among others.
