EDUCATION & AWARD SUB-COMMITTEE ROLLS OUT PRIZES FOR 2026 IGOGO EKITI DAY CELEBRATIONS
The Education and Award Sub-committee of the 2026 Igogo Ekiti Day celebrations is hereby intimating the public, particularly students of Igogo Ekiti extraction, to embrace the opportunity of the underlisted prizes, instituted by various well-meaning citizens of the town, to better their lives.
The prizes/awards, to be presented to deserving students during the grand finale of the celebrations on Saturday 5th 2026, are as presented below:
A. DR MOSES ADENIYI KOLAWOLE OJO FAMILY ANNUAL PRIZES FOR EXCELLENCE
i. Prize for Excellence to the best performing student of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igógo Ekiti in WASCE 2026 (N100,000)
ii. Prize for Excellence to the best performing student of Igógo Commercial High School, Igógo Ekiti in WASCE 2026 (N100,000)
iii. Bursary Award for the most deserving MBBS or MBChB Igógo Ekiti student in a public medical school within Nigeria (N100,000)
B. FOLA ABOLARINDE FOUNDATION FOR MEDICAL & NURSING STUDENTS AWARDS
Exclusively for MBBS/MBChB, Dentistry and Nursing students in Nigerian public institutions.
C. LATE CHIEF D. A. OGUNSUYI AWARD FOR OVERALL BEST STUDENTS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE
i. Best performing SSII student of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igogo Ekiti
ii. Best performing SSII student of Igógo Commercial High School, Igogo Ekiti (Prizes to be announced on the occasion)
D. LATE M. F. ALE QUIZ COMPETITION - To involve:
i. SSII students of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igogo Ekiti, and
ii. SSII students of Igógo Commercial High School, Igogo Ekiti (Prizes to be announced on the occasion)
E. LATE CHIEF M. OLA AJAYI ANNUAL DEBATE AWARD - To involve:
i. SSII students of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igogo Ekiti, and
ii. SSII students of Igógo Commercial High School, Igogo Ekiti (Prizes to be announced on the occasion)
F. ELEOMODE ESSAY COMPETITION -
Open to all competent SS2 students in:
i. SSII students of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igogo Ekiti, and
ii. SSII students of Igógo Commercial High School, Igogo Ekiti (Prizes to be announced on the occasion)
G. HON. FUNKE OGUNSUYI-BANJOKO BEST FEMALE STUDENTS AWARD
i. SSII female student of Ifelodun Comprehensive High School, Igogo Ekiti, and
ii. SSII female student of Igógo Commercial High School, Igogo Ekiti (Prizes to be announced on the occasion)
NOTE: Certificate of Merit will also be presented to deserving students, in addition to cash prizes to be paid directly to their bank accounts during the occasion.
