The 2026 Batch C Stream I Orientation Course is in full swing at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, as Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) deployed to Oyo State continue to settle into the camp for the first phase of the National Youth Service Corps programme.
Receiving the newly arrived PCMs, the NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Mr. Kayode Ola Peters, on behalf of the Management, members of staff and serving Corps Members, warmly welcomed them to the Pacesetter State.
He described the Oyo State Orientation Camp as one of the finest in the country, attributing its strength to the dedication, commitment and professionalism of Camp Officials who are poised to guide the PCMs through the various activities lined up for the Orientation Course.
He assured the PCMs that their stay in camp would provide a rewarding and fulfilling experience, characterised by learning, discipline, teamwork, leadership development and meaningful interactions that align with the core objectives of the National Youth Service Corps.
The State Coordinator further charged Camp Officials to relate with the PCMs with friendliness, empathy, patience and professionalism, stressing the importance of creating an environment conducive to learning, integration and positive engagement.
He encouraged the PCMs to participate actively in all camp activities, embrace the values of discipline, patriotism, selflessness and national unity, and make meaningful use of the opportunities provided throughout the Orientation Course.
In keeping with the commitment to giving the PCMs a warm and memorable start to their service year, the Reception Committee, Led by the Head of Socials, Dr. Olubunmi Ikusemoro, provided a welcoming reception for the arriving PCMs.
Chilled soft drinks, water and biscuits were made available to help them refresh after their journeys, while members of the committee ensured that the new arrivals were received with warmth and hospitality.
