One Person shot dead, Two injured in Ondo bank robbery

Less than 24hours that a Police Inspector, Lasisi was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Isua in Akoko South east local government area of the state, the Ondo state police command has confirmed that one person has been shot dead when armed robbers attacked a commercial bank at Iju town in Akure north local government area of the state.

The Spokesman of the command, Mr Femi Joseph told Radio Nigeria in Akure that undisclosed amount of money was carted away.

Mr Joseph noted that the only victim was a female security guard attached to the bank while two persons sustained serious injuries.

The PPRO who described the incident as unfortunate, said the command was on the trail of the robbers
