The flagging off of this year's Planting Season in Ondo State by the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will commence tommorrow
The event which will be low key due to the effects of Covid 19 pandemic currently ravaging the world would take place at the Government House Ground Alagbaka, Akure.
According to a Press release by Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture and signed by its Information Officer, Prince Bolu Ajijo, the event also provides a veritable opportunity for the Governor to commission and distribute tractors with full implements to farmers.
During the event the Governor will also distributes Agricultural Loan and Grants worth Million of Naira to farmers and Commodities Associations' to cushion the effects of likely food security crisis that might arise during and after Covid 19.
The Commissioner for Agriculture Asiwaju Adegboyega Adefarati, will assist the Governor at the event.
Expected at the low key event which will be strictly by invitations and observance of physical distancing line with the directives of government and health authorities on prevention of Covid 19 are representatives of Associations like OSACA and Poultry Association of Nigeria, Maize Farmers etc.
