Hon. Bode Ayorinde, the founder of Achievers University, Owo, and a former member of the National Assembly, has declared that his missions for the sunshine state is to industrialise the State, create wealth and provide gainful employment for teeming citizens.
Speaking at the official declaration of his ambition, he stated unequivocally that he is ready to offer quantum leap and pull the state from retrogression.
According to him, he said, "Given the opportunity to serve, my mission is to industrialise Ondo State, create wealth and provide gainful employment for our teeming citizens."
Ayorinde who is also a gubernatorial aspirant ahead of the Oct 10 Election in the People’s Democratic Party, noted that his "intention is to complete the term due to Owo through the mandate of the good people of Ondo State and I am prepared to give our Leaders in PDP, a written undertaking to that effect"
"I must acknowledge the fact that many of the aspirants from Ondo Central and Ondo South are eminently qualified to govern the state.
"It is, therefore, with a high sense of responsibility and very strong determination that I present myself as an aspirant for the 2020 Governorship Election in our dear sunshine state.
"This decision was reached after a very wide consultation coupled with strong conviction that I can make a positive difference. After 44 years of its creation, Ondo State must stop crawling. It must stand right and be counted amongst self sufficient states in Nigeria.
Recall that the former federal lawmaker had expressed great concerns over what he referred to as "Deplorable" conditions of the official quarters of members of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
"A situation where legislators live in tattered buildings called government quarters is appalling and such need to be urgently addressed,"
"I also want to assure the lawmakers that all the benefits due to them under the constitution would be given to them including befitting automobiles, office spaces and chamber," Ayorinde said.
