An Akure gospel musician, Joseph Olulegan, popularly known as Orlando Jesu, he revealed that music has reshaped his life in all ramifications.
The artiste who disclosed this while speaking with confirmednewsandgist narrated how he started his music career as a singer and drummer at a tender age in the church.
“I noticed that when I was singing, people responded to by dashing us gifts, buy us beans cake, and give us money.”
“I grew up to know that when I sing, people like it, thereby making it my profession and people started inviting me to perform at weddings, burials, naming, house warming among others.”
“Singing is the only gift that can last both in heaven and on earth. People in heaven are singing, all other gifts can come to an end, only that of singing can never come to an end.”
“My inspiration come whenever in thought of the word of God and when I remember one or two of his love and his grace over my life.”
Orlando Jesu, who sings like late Orlando Owoh, said he discovered the gift when someone talked about “Orlando, how he was a legend, how good his music has been, saying he wished there was someone who could adopt his style of music.
He stated that his music is aimed at preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to the world and channeling their ways to God.
He identified lack of promotion, connection and lack of encouragement from families and friends as the major challenges he faced in his career.
“Nowadays, promoters don’t really want to help gospel musicians to promote their music,” Olulegan disclosed.
He urged upcoming gospel musicians to center their music on heavenly songs.
