For allegedly raping a 10 year old daughter of his church’s founder at Iju in Akure North local government area, an Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has sentenced a paedophile teacher, Omotayo Adanlawo to life imprisonment today.
The presiding judge, Justice Samuel Bola said Adanlawo failed to give convincing evidence and testimony to prove his innocence.
It was gathered that the judge described the victim as a ‘Witness of Truth’ because of the courage and precision in her testimony.
Two days ago, the war against rape received a major boost as a Keke NAPEP driver, Blessing Kingsley, also bagged a life imprisonment for raping a teenager in Ondo town.
Kingsley is to spend the rest of his life in prison for raping a 14-year-old girl and infecting her with Hepatitis B two years ago.
Justice Bode Adegbehingbe of an Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure, who gave the judgement after a two-year trial, said the weight of evidence proved without doubt that Kingsley was guilty of the one-count charge of rape.
