Normalcy is gradually returning to Akure, the Ondo State capital in the wake of #Endsars protest hijacked by hoodlums
At road block junction which happened to be one of the hotspots of the protest in Akure, the Ondo State capital, people were now going about their normal activities unhindered inspite of the curfew.
Many others however still stayed back home waiting for goverment directive on the 24hr Curfew placed on the state on Monday night
Vehicular movement was coming up gradually at the junction which link Ilesa – Akure – Owo / Benin highway , a road which had been blocked since Monday.
Activities across Futa axis were picking up with few shops and businesses opened.
Meanwhile, some residents have begun to Clear of all roadblocks, sticks and bonfires on major roads in the city.
The exercise is being carried out by some Akure youths and leaders of all political parties.
The affected roads include, Adesida, Oyemekun, Arakale, Nepa and cathedral.
The roads which were hitherto deserted due to the civil unrest that greeted the #endsars protest and the curfew declared by the state government were now filled with vehicles as people go about their normal businesses.
Some residents are of the opinion that normalcy would fully return to the entire ondo state following the appeal by President Muhammadu Buhari in a recent broadcast.
