Ex Ondo Reps member, Kolawole Babatunde commiserates with Akungba community



A former House of Representatives member, Kolawole Babatunde, 
has expressed grief over the unfortunate road accident that claimed many lives at Ibaka market in Akungba-Akoko last night. 

In statement released by his media office today, Kolawole pledged to join hands with notable sons of the University Community in Government's intervention. 

The statement reads: "the Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Rural and Community Development, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, has expressed his grief over the unfortunate road accident that claimed about twenty (20) lives at Ibaka Market in Akungba-Akoko last night" 

"He expresses his sadness over the heart-rending incident which he said is occurring when the people of the University Community are still in shock over similar road accident that occured in the town barely two months ago and which claimed about ten (10) lives"

"Hon. Kolawole Babatunde sends his condolences to all the families who lost their precious ones in the fatal accident, the Alale of Akungba, Oba Sunday Ajimo and the people of Akungba-Akoko"

"He prays for an end to such unfortunate and tragic happenings in the ancient town"

"The Special Adviser to the Governor promised to join hands with notable sons of Akungba in seeking government's intervention in checkmating the menace posed by heavy-duty trucks and articulated vehicles on the Akungba-Ikare road"
