The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo has approved Friday 6th of November 2020 as resumption for all matriculated students for the 2019/2020 Academic session.
This was disclosed today in the BOARD meeting held at the Institution senates building.
Recalled that, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo suspended 2019/2020 academic session in March 2020 due to the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 Pandemic,
The institution has seen the need for a complete review of the 2019/2020 Academic calendar following the authorization of *NBTE and the State Government* on re-opening of the institution.
The Directorate of Academic affairs took into serious consideration on the need for a prompt conclusion of the 2019/2020 Academic Session and hinted the need to avoid breach to any of the COVID-19 Protocols in view of the declared dire consequences of such breach.
The meeting was held after the Dean of student Affairs, Mr. M. O Oloye has earlier debunked the viral internal Memorandum on the social media that the institution has resumed.
Students were enjoined to visit the institution website https://rugipo.edu.ng for further information as circular of the reviewed calendar shall be made open for the public consumption in due time.
