The State Coordinator, NYSC Ondo State, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has affirmed that obedience to protocol of COVID -19 will give us victory over the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.
The State Coordinator made the affirmation Monday morning during the Sensitisation Rally within the camp community to further deepen awareness on the novel virus which had put all nations on their toes.
Mrs. Ani who went spiritual and quoted from the book of Isaiah chapter 1: 19 in the Holy Bible which says, 'if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land' believed that everyone should strive continuously to spread the message and not the virus.
She went down memory lane that face mask usage was enforced during the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 through 1920 which exterminated over fifty million people worldwide and well over 500,000 in Nigeria.
"My prayer is that we shall not be a partaker of this dreaded disease and I want to let you know that heaven helps those who helped themselves. Our prayers will only be answered on this COVID -19 if we accept the reality of times and adjust our lives to suit the protocol".
The NYSC Chief Image Maker in the Sunshine State admonished the COVID -19 Vanguard to treat their colleagues with respect when enforcing the protocol and report the obstinate ones to the authority.
"It is not all the registered corps members that have the opportunity of this voluntary service you are rendering and you have to be humble and respectful so that your activities will be generally accepted by all and sundry".
Mrs. Ani charged the monitoring/Enforcement Committee and the COVID -19 Vanguard not to rest on their oars but to be up and doing so that God will reward you at the appointed time.
"I have strong confidence in your ability to crash the curve of infection and let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall all reap the benefits if we faint not" she concluded.
