The Governing Council of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE) at its recent meeting adopted the Report of its Appointment and Promotions Committee (A & PC) which promoted Eight (8) Staff into the rank of Professor and another twelve as Associate Professors or Readers.
According to the minutes of the 12th Statutory Meeting of the A.P.C. held on Monday, March 29, 2021, a copy of which was released to FUOYENews, Dr Ekundare Ayode Odo of Physics department; Dr Babatunde J. Omotosho from Sociology Department tops six Readers who are now Professors.
The others are Dr (Mrs) Ruth A. Gabriel Ajobiewe of Microbiology; Dr A.A. Ajiboye of Plant Science and Biotechnology; Dr I. E. Okoro also of Microbiology department; Dr OLufumilayo Iyadunm Ndububa of Civil Engineering; Dr Patrick Temi Adegun of Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) and Dr Andrew Agbon of Animal and Environmental Biology.
Also for the Associate Professor/Reader, Dr Bifatife Adeseye of Theatre and Media Arts and Dr Eunice Ogunbusola of Food Science and Technology leads the pack. Others are Dr James Oludare Agbolade of Plant Science and Biotechnology; Dr O. E. Adeyefa of Mathematics department; Dr Rufus B. Akindola of Sociology department; Dr Hezekiah Oluremi Abimbola of Sociology department and Dr Lukman Shina Akinola of Mathematics.
Also, Dr Adesola Adebanjo Satimehin of Agricultural Bioresources Engineering; DR Mukaila Olagunju of Computer Science; Dr Christopher Ehinomen of Economics and Development Studies department; Dr Segun Isaac Oyedeji of Animal and Environmental Biology and Dr Temidayo Gabriel Apata of Agricultural Economics and Extension are included.
By this development, the university is fulfilling its mandate to promote anomaly deserving Staff who have be screened and found suitable for next level in their career as a motivation and inspiration to Staff to put in their best and work harder.
