Pastor Femi Ajayi of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), has called on men to always identify crisis that may affect their marriage and home.
Pastor Ajayi made the call in Akure at a sermon delivered during the annual convention of the Excellent Men of the RCCG,Glory Terbernacle (Ondo Province 1)Ijapo Estate.
He listed such crises that can ruin marriage to include different in growth level, lack of money, lack of sexual satisfaction and lack of communication.
Speaking on the topic; “Conflicts and Crisis in Christian marriage: Paradox of life realities”, Ajayi said crisis in marriage was imminent, but should be well manage by husband as the supreme head of the family.
The Pastor described good marriage as a plus to the kingdom of God and urged the men to build a good home that will be envy of all and worthy of emulation as practicing Christians.
According to him; “God expect Godly seeds from us, 80 percent of adolescent in psychiatric come from fatherless or broken homes, larger percentage of terrorists in the country comes from badly raised homes.
“Crisis limits man’s ability to achieve great things in life unless with the quick intervention of God,” he said.
He therefore advised men to manage any crisis in the home before it escalate to the level of involving third party, saying this would go a long way to prevent negative impact on the children.
The Acting President of Excellent Men, Barrister Iyiola Afolabi expressed delight to welcome the members for the enablement to gather again in the house of God for the second convention in the church.
Afolabi said holding a programme around this time in 2020 was not only inconceivable, but practically impossible due to the lockdown.
According to him, “yes, we have exited COVID-19 to the Glory of God, yet its socio economic effects linger.
“Men who are always at the forefront of family struggles always feel the effects more.
“The Excellent Men were able to do a project by face-lifting the church to prevent perennial flooding as part of effort to commemorate the year 2021 annual Glory Men Convention,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the convention tagged: “Men of Issachar” was a three fold program that teaches men on how to build prosperous homes, building a healthy life by doing annual medical checkup and Sport engagement to keep fit.
NAN also reports that the convention later ended up with praise and worship and thanksgivings service in the church auditorium.
