Murder: Police arrest four in Ondo



Four suspects in connection with the murder of one Adegboyegun Ademola have been arrested in Akure the capital of Ondo State.

The suspects whose names were given as Olorunmaye Temitope 50, Falowo Bisayo 43, Afolayan Kayode 55, and Akintade Busayo 45 were said to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ondo State council.

The police while confirming the arrest,  according to a statement from the operation Puff Harder Ondo Annex of the Criminal Investigation Department of the command, said the suspect were arrested in connection with the bloody clash that broke out between members of the NURTW at old garage in Akure on the 9th f March 2021.

Item said to have recovered from the suspects include three pump action guns with 12 loading, one double barrel gun and an unregistered Toyota Camry car.

The statement added that the weapons were recovered from the suspects in an completed building at Igoba area in Akure north local government area of the state where it was berried  by the suspects.

The police added that the deceased a turkey seller at the popular old garage in Akure was killed by the suspects during the fracas.

The statement added that the fourth suspect Akintade Busayo assisted other suspects in the purchase of the recovered guns from the suspects, adding that investigation is in processing to arrest other fleing members of the group.
