The Director General, National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim in a virtual meeting held to close the 2021 Batch B stream one Orientation Exercise has charged the corps members to be security conscious during and after their service year so as not to endanger their lives.
He also warned them to be very vigilant so as not to fall victim to the tricks of fraudsters who are desperate to make money at all cost .
The DG while emphasizing on the need for corps members to desist from night travels, unauthorized journeys and boarding of vehicles from non designated parks advised them to break their journey once it is getting too late to avoid unpleasant situations.
The NYSC Boss reminded the corps members on the need to embark on CDS projects that will positively impact lives in their host communities,adding that, concrete projects can change the status of a community.
On the use of social media, the DG admonished the corps members to make appropriate use of the platform, ensuring that they only disseminate true and verified information about the scheme and equally urged them to use the social media platform to promote national unity.
While reminding everyone on the need to continue complying with the safety measures on Covid-19,the DG further encouraged them to get vaccinated against the virus.
The virtual meeting which marks the end of the 2021 Batch B(Stream l) Orientation Course also had the Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe, reiterating the DG's crucial points while wishing the Corps members a successful service year.
