Ondo: NURTW gets new Executives




The Ondo State government has ordered the Interim Caretaker Committee of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW to take charge of some designated motor Parks in the state

It will be recalled that the Executives of NURTW in the state, led by Jacob Adebo popularly known as Idajo was sacked some months ago

In his directive, the senior special assistant to Ondo state governor on special duties and strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale while speaking with newsmen in Akure said the caretaker committee to be headed by Alhaji Olalekan Folorunso, the osun state’s NURTW chairman was sent by its National Body

He maintained that the committee would be governed by Ondo state’s law to effect existing peace across the state

Dr Odebowale hinted that those selling tickets on behalf of the state would continue while the new committee would not be permitted to sell any tickets outside that of the state

Cautioning the new committee against any breach of peace, the SSA warned those still parading themselves as leadership of motor Parks under any disguise to desist forthwith or be ready to face prosecution

Dr Odebowale who explained that the security agencies had been mobilized to ensure orderliness adding that ondo State government was committed to taking away hardship from the residents.
