CDS: Lagelu SAED chair, tasks corps members on importance of SAED

Corps members have been urged to engage themselves in any SAED training for them to be useful to themselves and the society at large

The SAED Chairman, Lagelu local Govt, Mr Olatunji J. O gave this charge while addressing Corps members on the importance of SAED in Nysc on Thursday at the Lagelu local government area of Oyo State. 

He noted that SAED training in Nysc in Nigeria today, is very important because the economy is not friendly. 

"Whatever you want to become in life, lie in your hands, is either you choose to be poor or vice versa life is all about choice"

"As of now,  your first degree, distinction has nothing to do with with Nigeria's economy of today 

He stated that the essence of SAED in Nysc is for corps members to discover those hidden potential deposited in them and turning it to better opportunities to achieve success adding that no one can tell what can actually put food on their table 

Olatunji who frowns at Nigeria situation says, "it has gotten to a level that education is now becoming a scam, but the essence of being a graduate is because opportunity can come anytime."


"The era we are now, is not about certificate anymore but sabificate, which means what you have upstairs

"Whatever you learn today, the knowledge you have is what will take you to the next level and by doing that, the rate of unemployment get reduced in the country, and also be an employer of labour". He said

In the same vein, the local government inspector, Lagelu local Govt, Mrs Adenike Abdulkarim also admonished corps members particularly the new 2021 Batch B to embrace any SAED training brought to them

She stated that community development service project, individual project are very good but SAED is for their own personal upliftment. 

"All those project you are doing for your community is for them to remember you, to feel your impact while serving your fatherland but SAED is your own personal gain 


Meanwhile, the founder of Eleseosu engagement training school, Ibadan,  Mrs Akinpelu popularly known as Mama Narrator urges corps members to join her training school (those who are willing) 

The hilarious compere who crack jokes that brought out seventh heaven in the face of corps members also admonished corps members who are talented to make use of the trending platforms (Social Media) to showcase thier talent to the public.
