Prospective Corp members have been charged to take security guidelines seriously as the present security situation in the country calls for all hands to be on deck.
Captain Olusesan Oye (rtd) a security consultant from Oakland Security network. Lagos, gave this charge while delivering a lecture on security awareness to the 2021 batch C stream 1 prospective Corp members deployed to Ogun State at the gateway international stadium, Sagamu.
Olusesan, enjoined the Prospective Corp members to avoid travelling at night as much as possible
"Stay mentally alert at all times, ,try as much as possible to move in groups during the period of your primary assignment" he said.
The security expert urged the Prospective Corp members to avoid narrow and lonely routes as well as being vigilant when travelling, adding it is imperative to keep good relationship with our neighbors or members of our host communities, as this is important in keeping them from erring in the traditional laws of the land.
While warning the prospective Corps members not to accept unknown visitors, he noted that self-confidence will help them assess potentially dangerous situations.
He however urged the prospective Corps Members to always trust their instincts and be quick to act on it by moving to a safe place whenever the need arises .
