Igburowo town an agrarian community in Odigbo local government area of Ondo State, have performed tye installation of Oba Nelson Gbadega Akintolayo as the new monarch of the town.
The position, Akamuja of Igburowo town became vacant since 2012 following the disposition of the former holder of the tittle, Mr Pious Akefesola by the Ondo State Government.
Speaking while performing the installation held at the center of the community, the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Gboyega Adefarati, congratulated the people of the community over the peaceful selection and installation of the new monarch.
The Commissioner while lauding the indegenes of the town for what he observed as the peace, harmony and good relationship between the new monarch and the indegenes of the town, however stressed the need for them to maintain the temple and ensure the success of the new monarch as he assumed the throne.
He reiterated the readiness of his administration to continue in supporting the community in various developmental programmes aimed at transforming the community to an enviable position.
The Governor, while congratulating the indegenes of the town over the installation, however, urged the people of the community to support the new monarch in his bids to develop the community.
He assured them of the continue support of his administration and ensure the success of the new monarch, also explained the readiness of his administration to execute projects that would make life more meaningful for the people of the community.
Earlier, in his message at the occasion, the new traditional ruler, Oba Nelson Gbadega Akintolayo, thanked the indegenes of the town over the peaceful selection and installation process.
He solicited the supports of indegenes of the town both home and in diaspora to join hands with him in moving the town to a greater hight.
Oba Akintolayo while congratulating several indegenes of the town over the peaceful installation and promised to run an opened administration in the town.
The monarch also thanked Ondo State Government over its support during the selection and installation process, he assured the government that the community will continue to support the present administration in the state and assured the success of the government.
In her goodwill message delivered at the occasion, the Chairperson Odigbo Local Government, Mrs Margaret Akinsuroju, congratulated the new monarch and the entire indegenes of the town over the peaceful installation.
