Ogbuogebe meets camp officials, harps on hardwork, dedication




The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has called on Camp Officials to be more dedicated, hardworking and be effectively engaged in discharging their duties. 

This call was made at the Camp Officials'maiden meeting marking the commencement of the 2022 Batch B Stream ll orientation exercise at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin.

In her opening remark, the State Coordinator commended the NYSC Officials , Collaborating Agencies' Officials for their impressive contributions to the administration of the Camp which has enabled them record successes in previous  Orientation exercises.

The SC acknowledged the cordial relationship between the NYSC and the collaborating partners which she said has been waxing stronger.

She however urged them to be effectively engaged  in discharging their duties.
Ogbuogebe equally enjoined the camp officials to receive the Prospective corps members warmly right from the gate and make them feel at home as it will enable them integrate fast with the camp community. 

 "Exhibit good conduct that is worthy of emulation, shun all forms of vices that can impede the success and development of the scheme and the orientation course" . She warned.

Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe  reiterated that all  Camp Officials must be resident on camp and nobody is permitted to travel except with due authorisation by the State Coordinator.

She equally warned them not to disclose official information to the press or post anything negative on the social media that will portray the scheme in bad light.

On issue of security in camp, the State Coordinator directed the Camp Commandant to work in synergy with other security operatives to carry out their core mandate.She implored everyone of them to perform their functions creditably and ensure corps members and camp officials get maximum protection.

The State Coordinator emphasized the need  for all camp officials to subject themselves to COVID-19 screening and test, and to strictly adhere to all the covid-19 safety protocols. 


She added that there is a  need to encourage corps members to key into Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme of NYSC  to enable them have a promising future.

The Camp Director for 2022 Batch B Stream ll Orientation exercise, Mrs Oluwakemi Awolola in her brief remark,charged the Camp Officials to ensure they perform their duties as expected adding that it will portray them as role models to the corps members.

She urged them to receive the corps members warmly and make the camp home away from home for them, saying that they are in loco parentis for the corps members. 

Awolola also charged the officials to shun rumour mongering and gossips but rather be their brother's keeper.She said she would welcome constructive criticism which are geared towards a hitch free orientation exercise. 

"My office is always open for suggestions" she said .
