The Assistant Director Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development in Oyo State, Mrs Ojo Atinuke who retired recently from active service as the Head SAED has been celebrated in various programmes by the staff of NYSC Oyo state and also in a send off party by the facilitators.
The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe who graced the memorable occasion and also delivered a brief remark at the send off party organised by the facilitators described the retired Assistant Director SAED Oyo State, Mrs Ojo Atinuke as someone who is detailed and passionate about her job and also treat people nicely.
She expressed her joy over the initiative and thoughtfulness of the facilitators by organizing the programme in honour of the retired Assistant Director.
She also commended their efforts in ensuring the Corps members acquire skills and bringing out the best in them through SAED training and channeling them to their God given purpose and destiny.
The Send Off party witnessed a massive turn out of the facilitators who were all full of encomiums and praises for the retired officer. One of the facilitators, Mr. Chukwu Chinedu (DON CEE) who spoke on behalf of others praised Mrs Ojo Atinuke for always carrying them along during her tenure in SAED administration which in turn prompted them to plan a party in appreciation of her kindness.
In a related development, a programme was also organized at the State Coordinator’s Office where a dummy Cheque of the monetary contributions by the NYSC Oyo State,family and friends of the Assistant Director was presented to her.
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator noted in her commendation that the outgoing officer is very resourceful and dedicated to her duty.
She said the officer was always looking for ways to improve upon every assignment given to her.
She acknowledged that the Assistant Director in her contributions to the improvement of the working conditions of members of staff at the SAED department constructed the annex of the SAED Office at the secretariat.
She equally commended her good working relationship with her co workers and the SAED trainers.
She mentioned her commitment in the supervision of the SAED venues and ensuring the Corps members key into at least a skill in the course of their service year.
Other Assistant Directors and Heads of Unit present at the programme also eulogized the outgoing officer describing her as peaceful, gentle and someone who can go to any length to help others.
She was also recognised as a source of inspiration to other members of staff who worked closely with her.
Responding, the outgoing officer thanked the State Coordinator for giving her the enabling environment to work and supporting her which brought out the best in her on the job and also appreciated everyone that has touched her life during her career in the NYSC Oyo State.
