Ondo: Ex- Commissioner, Yetunde Adeyanju decamps to PDP

Ex- Commissioner for Water Resources in Ondo State, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju has officially decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

This was even as the party (PDP) recieved her with her 3500 supporters at the party's Secretariat in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. 

It will be recalled that Yetunde Adeyanju resigned her appointment as Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban development in Ondo state after Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu shuffled his cabinet 

Speaking at the occasion, Adeyanju said her coming back to the party, (PDP) was not by mistake

 "As a leader of the Women Groups for Akeredolu’s Campaign in 2016 and 2020 she can no longer pretend that all is well with the APC.

“The APC has brought so much suffering to the people that, anybody with sympathy for people must exit the party” Adeyanju said.

The State party chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams while recieving her, commended her (Adeyanju) for coming back to the party after many years

"This is your source and thanks to God that you have traced yourself back to your source, and with this, i am sure victory is ours

Adeyanju was however received into the PDP by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Fatai Adams, Governorship Candidate of PDP in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adeputu, Deputy Gov-Elect of Osun State Hon. Kola Adewusi and Dr. Eddy Olafeso., Engr Faboyede Clement and host of others

Other party chieftain from Odigbo who graced the occasion included; Hon. Ayodele Joseph, Former Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taye Oguniyi, Former Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon.Sunday Akinjiyan and many others.

Newsline NG however observed that no fewer than 3500 decampees wore well attired in a special Ankara fabric at the occasion
