2023: Ondo Monarch hosts Hon Ifabiyi, pledges support




As 2023 general elections draws nearer, the Akogbe of Ajue Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bamidele Akinwe,on Sunday reaffirmed his pledge towards the victory of Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji Samuel in the forthcoming State House of Assembly race next year.

Oba Bamidele Akinwe gave the assurance at his Palace in Ajue, while receiving in audience of Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji and his entourage  from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, who is vying for the State legislative seat in the next year Ondo State House of Assembly election from Odigbo Constituency I as part of his political tour ahead of the commencement of governorship and state chamber campaign exercise in October this year.

The monarch explained that he believes in the candidacy of Ifabiyi in extension of true democracy system, noting that disparity can not help in achieving good governance.

He stressed that his support for Ifabiyi Olatunji as next State Assembly member remains sacrosanct irrespective of external interference and pressure that may amount to his ambition.

Oba Akinwe further maintained that the vision of former aid to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Commerce and Industry to occupy Odigbo Constituency I seat is a divine agenda, vowed to give his best as traditional ruler in ensuring that the ancient town and other neighbouring communities are fully delivered for all APC candidates comes 2023.

"We have started this journey,and we must achieve the objectives.
Your candidature still remains intact with me.

I can assure you,the whole Ajue Kingdom and other suburbs communities are for you. No amount of external voices can restrain me from giving you my charitable assistance". Akogbe affirmed.

In his address,the hopeful State lawmaker, Ifabiyi Olatunji, thanked His Royal Majesty, Oba Bamidele Akinwe for his generous contributions during the last Primary election, adding that his supports during the turbulent period earned him much confidence to win the preliminary stage of the race,just as he also requested for his monarchial advices on the general elections, particularly, as INEC has opened window for electioneering campaigns for 2023 polls.

Hon Ifabiyi Olatunji further reiterated that no stone will be left unturned by ensuring that all his campaign promises are fully executed and implemented as pledged.

"Your Majesty Sir, I commend you for giving me such huge assistance and advantage during the heatings. I will never renege in my pledges,yet I'm still yarning for more.

I remain on my vows,committed to good governance and wellbeing of electorates as earlier promised ". Olatunji maintained.

Also in attendance were commissioner for Urban and Regional Planning, Hon Amidu Takuro, the Chief of Staff to Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Hon Folasile Siji,former secretary to the Local Council,Hon. Taiwo Olagundoye and other notable APC members.
