Eminent Nigerians at the weekend converged at the Royal Ranch of Alayede of Ayede Ogbese in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State to honour Oba Ajibola Oluyede and Olori Olufunmilayo, as the monarch marked his one-year coronation anniversary on the throne.
The coronation anniversary which was filled with pomp and pageantry was graced by important dignitaries among the likes of The Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, SSG, Princess Oladunni Odu and Chief of Staff, Hon. Gbenga Ale.
Others included; Executive Director Alpha 3D, Ondo State, Prince Biyi Poroye, Publisher, Coastal Renaissance news, Hon. Taiwo Gbamila, Secretary Akenneyin/Agangangigan Ruling House, Ode-Mahin, Omo’ba Omowole Oluwagheyinmi among others
Speaking at the event, Governor Akeredolu while honoring the occasion said his administration would always be available for the progress of Ayede Ogbese.
“I am highly impressed by the progressive activities and tremendous achievements of Oba Oluyede and his illustrious Olori, Olufunmilayo in Ayede Ogbese community for just one year on the throne, stressing that enthronement of Oluyede has changed the narrative of Ayede Ogbese and drastically improved socio-economic development of the community”.
The Governor specially appreciated the Oba Oluyede and his Olori for the peaceful coexistence that exists among the people.
“I note particularly how kabiyesi and his Olori have continued to deploy their wealth of experience and network for the service of not only Ayede Ogbese but also the state and humanity in general”.
“The fact that the first coronation anniversary is being commemorated with a musical concert on the theme “A Meeting with the KING of kings”, and which was the second of the ‘OBA Awon Oba’ annual commemorative events, is a living testament that the Kabiyesi is threading on the path of KING DAVID in the Bible”.
In his remark, Oba Oluyede thanked God for availing him the grace to celebrate one-year coronation anniversary in good health and specially appreciated his illustrious queen for standing by him in all his endeavours. He promised to chase poverty out of Ayede Ogbese land as God gives him more power and strength to impact positively in the lives of the community dwellers.
He finally appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON for the special honour bestowed on him to attend the programme despite his tight schedule, and also thanked all the invited guests who made their appearances at the event and prayed for journey mercy to their respective destinations.
It will be recalled that the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN had personally presented the Instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to Oba Oluyede, describing it as an honour to a long term friend
Newsline NG however gathered that, various Eminent ministers of the gospel globally, among the likes of, 120-member mass choir and instrumentalists of the award-winning De Emeralds Choir, the Ondo State National Cultural Troupe et al were featured at the occasion.
