Rainstorm render us homeless -- Ondo residents




.... Beg Govt for financial assistance

Rainstorm wreaked havoc on Tuesday evening in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo state as many houses roofs were blown off.

The heavy rainfall which lasted for hours forced many residents to run helter skelter for their lives.

Mostly affected areas in the town where many houses were destroyed included Omi Ayo, Olorunsogo and Sabo area

Our correspondent who visited the affected areas gathered that the heavy rainfall rendered many residents homeless



It was also gathered that Schools, Church and a Mosque were destroyed by the heavy rainfall. 

A landlady of one of affected house, Mrs Musa Kadijat while speaking with Hope Metro described the incident as tragic one for her and all her Tennant. 

Her words" The network pole of an old generational bank fell on the our roof and destroy all of them, all my Tennant cannot sleep in thier room because of the rain 

"I want to thank God that no life was lost in the incident. 


In the same vein, Mr Aderanti Ajilo while recounting his lost due to the incident said, all his three houses were destroyed due to the heavy rainstorm 

The affected residents unanimously appealed to the state government and some big wigs in the society to come to their aids by providing relief materials as  succour.

The Hope Metro however learnt that No fewer than twelve houses roofs were destroyed by the heavy rainfall as at the time of filing this report.
