Yesterday, 17th of May 2023, we received the cheery news of Ondo deep sea port approval by the Federal Executive Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. The memo which contains the approval for the operating licence for the port was presented yesterday and this came after myriads of efforts from different quarters aimed at making the establishment of the sea port materialize.
As an association which mission and vision revolve around the development of Ondo south senatorial district, we have, at different fora, amplified and lent voice to the agitations for the establishment of deep sea port in the coastal area of the district. Consequent on this, it is a thrill that there is FG approval to that effect.
OSAWA appreciates Ondo State Government led by Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON for making unrelenting efforts at making this come into fruition. The association also thanks the Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye who has been pivotal, since his assumption of office, to the approval of the deep sea port.
Appreciation is also extended to all personalities from Ondo south who have made their inputs to this significant feat.
While we celebrate this big win, we want to state that there is no respite yet as we have to ensure the execution of the approval going forward. It is our firm belief that we will always spur development in Ondo south with concerted efforts and unity.
We are indeed determined to make a difference.
