Following the claim of Mr Babajide Adefowofa parading himself as the next Alaketu of Ketu kingdom per lineage,Mr Wahab Akeem popularly known as Oluwo has debunked the purported Viral News.
It will be recalled that Mr Babajide Adefowora alleged one Mr Wahab Akeem of not entitled to the stool of the Ketu kingdom.
Mr Wahab Akeem while speaking with our correspondent said the spurious publication is to cause more damage than Good.
In a letter made available to our correspondent, Akeem explained the originality in the kingship tussle
"We implore the entire Oshokeji Ateshimara Royal family and their authentic principal members and Olori Ebis to be wary in dealing with anyone that can't substantiate his/her claim to any position whatsoever in Oshokeji Ateshinmara Royal family of Ketu Kingdom, Epe.
"For easy verification of any claims and recognition demanded by any individual or group of people in respect of such that is entitled and/or accorded ‘to the principal members of Oshokesi Ateshinmara Royal Family only, the current regent of Ketu Kingdom, High chief Adewale Badru (in official capacity) would be happily ready to assist in doing so: if invited or called upon.
"Ateshinmata Ruling House gave us enough ground to disqualify your application and sour intention there in because base on Ketu Obaship succession tradition which is rotational, the four ruling houses (i.e.Efunderu, Adeona, Otunwunmi and and Otujeru) Ruling Houses that constitute Oshokeji Ateshinniara Royal Family) have unanimously reached an understanding and agreement that the next ruling house to present candidate for the vacant Alaketus tool is Adeona Ruling House, hence it’s not yet the turn of Otunwunmi Ruling House to do so.
This affirmation could be testified to by the public announcement made to all sons and daughters of Ketu during the town hall meeting that was held on the 20th of February, 2022.
"At the town hall meeting too, Adeona Ruling House was asked in the presence of all and sundry to quickly arrange within themselves and see to it that rightful candidate (s) is presented 10 the entire Oshokeji Ateshimara Roval Family within a certain time frame".
"We belief that this but self-explanatory information concerning the reason for your disqualification as the rightful candidate for the vacant stool of Alaketu is sullicient enough". Akeem said.
