As part of its corporate social responsibility, Crest fm on Monday distributed school materials to some indigent pupils in Akure, the Ondo State capital
Newsline NG learnt that the school materials which was distributed at the premises of the radio station in Alagbaka included; 50 school bags and 500 excersice books.
Speaking with newsmen, the Group chief operation officer ,Crest hill media concept, Adeolu Gboyega said the station understands the peculiarity of this season after the removal of fuel subsidy and will do anything in its capacity to touch the lives of the vulnerables.
Also speaking, the General manager Crest 106.1 fm Akure, Godday ighoteguono noted that the station took this step to give the indigent pupils some sense of belonging and relieve their parents of the burden.
Some of the beneficiaries of the pallatives however thanked Crest fm for the initiative, adding that the school materials will be of help to their wards.
Newsline NG however gathered that the pallatives distribution is a product of one of the station's flagship programmes Orin iyin.
