Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district has commended the pact between Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), to develop local content capacity. Seyi Makinde made this known on Thursday, at the convocation ceremony of Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery (OYSCONME ), Ibadan. Makinde, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Kehinde Ayinde, said that the scheme was targeted at addressing the shortage of manpower resulting from brain drain experienced in the sector. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the free medical check-up and distribution of drugs was part of the activities marking the institution’s 74th Founder’s Day. The free medical check-up was conducted mostly for people residing around the college community, after a health walk, tagged: ‘Walk for Life’ had been held for the staff members of the college to keep fit. The duo whose residential addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of human parts. The Prosecutor, Insp. Segun Adegboye told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence on Nov. 6, at 2. 00 p.m, at No 32 Mosebolatan Street, Ogbere Tioya, Ibadan. Adegboye alleged that the duo unlawfully possessed the human parts separated from the body with the intent to process money ritual.
