Two arraigned in court over alleged possession of improvised gun

One Femi Johnson, 35 and Olawunmi Lawal, 24, were on Thursday arraigned in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for an alleged unlawful possession of improvised gun.

The duo whose residential addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of improvised gun.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Segun Adegboye told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence sometimes in October at Apata area, Ibadan.

Adegboye alleged that the duo unlawfully possessed improvised gun at the aforementioned area and committed an offence contrary to Section 516 and 417(D) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs S. I Babalola granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200, 000 each and one surety each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Dec. 21, for hearing (NAN)
