The motorcyclists, whose addresses were not provided, are Soliu Mohammed, 35, Babatunde Busari, 32, and Dauda Olatunbosun, 42.

The court summarily tried and convicted them for reckless driving after they pleaded guilty to the charge.

Aworemi, however, gave them an option of three-hour daily community service for a week.

She also ordered them to pay N10, 000 fine.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the motorcyclists committed the offence on May 22, at about 1.45 p.m. at Dugbe area, Ibadan.

Amusan said that the motorcyclists drove recklessly on a public highway and obstructed free passage of vehicles even while carrying passengers.
