This assertion was made by the Federal University Oye Ekiti, FUOYE Shield Cooperative Multipurpose Society at the Annual General Meeting held at the Faculty of Arts Hall of the ivory tower of the institution.
Newsline NG learnt that the five-year-old FUOYE Shield Coop has held two Annual General Meetings since its establishment.
The President of the Coop Society, Mrs Aderonke Sasere while presenting the report of activities during the stewardship of Mr. Paul Ogidi disclosed that society is the best Coop Society in the history of FUOYE.
Her words" To God be the glory for His faithfulness, mercy, and loving kindness towards all the members of this great co-operative Society."
"It is with profound joy and gladness that I welcome you to the 2024 Annual General Meeting of this esteemed Society, I, on behalf of the immediate past president, sincerely acknowledge and appreciate all our members, both longstanding and new co-operators, for your unwavering belief and commitment to the mission and vision of this society."
Our dear cooperative has made it easy and mandatory to ensure that the selling of foodstuffs regularly is our priority to meet the needs of our esteemed co-operators.
It has been shown and indicated from all angles that this idea has really sustained the stability of generating profit for the progress of our cooperative.
In the same year, 2024, a lot of solar with TV and fans were sold to our amiable co-operators with just minimal interest for the betterment of our members, which is paramount to us.
"Members' Dividend and Gift
In the year 2023, the cooperative was unable to combine both the dividend and the gift for the co-operators, but to the glory of God, the year 2024 took another dimension. We are glad to announce to you that both the Dividend and the gift will be shared among our esteemed members today.
"In the year 2023, despite facing various challenges, mostly from the past Secretary, who nearly crumbled the affairs of the cooperative, we are grateful to God for the success recorded in the 2023 financial year. We witnessed notable progress across the administrative and business facets of our society. We believe that with God’s backing, our journey will continue to be steady and have sustainable growth.
"In terms of loan disbursement, we are very proactive in the area without delay, which has made our cooperative one of the best cooperatives in FUOYE's history.
She however urged the co-operators to make use of the avenue for getting loans effectively without delay to test the ability of the executives

Also speaking at the AGM, the Chief Security Officer of the Institution, Captain Bitanis Raymond Rtd, thanked the Executive of the society and cooperators for their contribution to the progress of the coop.
" I want to thank the prudence of the Excos in piloting the affairs of society."
Bitanis urged cooperators to contribute handsomely to have big envelopes during the next AGM
"My President, please put in a better marketing strategy that will bring in more investors, more cooperators to boost the financial strength of the society"
In his Goodwill message, the President of the FUOYE Staff Coop, Mr. Kehinde Adebayo, commended the Shield Cooperative for holding two AGMs within two years. This is very commendable
Also, the Representative of SSANU Coop, Mrs Adejoke Adesua, showered encomium on the executive of the cooperative for their resilience and giant strides in ensuring progress of be society
" On behalf of my President, Mr. Temitope Adewunmi, I bring greetings to all of you," the SSaNU Coop secretary added.
The BOT Chairperson, Mrs Grace Odigun, appreciated the executives for allowing the Board of Trustees to handle the stomach infrastructure scheme of the society and urged the cooperators to visit the secretariat for their needs
In his vote of thanks, the Vice president of the Society, Mr. Raphael Ogunsakin "As we conclude this Annual General Meeting, on behalf of executives and board of trustees, I woul d like to express our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for your active participation, valuable contributions, and unwavering commitment to our cooperative's growth and development"
