The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Sports, Hon. Kehinde Akinrotoye (Bonsue), has pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to enhance sports across the 18 local government areas of the state.
Akinrotoye made this commitment during a courtesy visit to the office of the Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Henry Segun Omoyofunmi, in Akure, the state capital.
He emphasized his readiness to collaborate with the Commissioner and other stakeholders to restore the state’s former glory in the sports sector.
“Sports is a vital sector of government, and it requires everyone’s involvement for meaningful development,” Akinrotoye stated.
He further highlighted his recent visit to the Ondo State Sports Council, where he met with management and sectional heads to encourage renewed efforts in advancing sports across the state.
In response, Hon. Henry Segun Omoyofunmi, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, commended Akinrotoye for the visit, stressing the importance of partnership.
“I welcome you to my office. Our priority is to align with Governor Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s development policy, as he is a passionate supporter of sports,” Omoyofunmi said.
“My office is committed to working with you to move sports forward in line with the Governor’s 'OUR EASE' policy for rapid sports development.
